Ever wonder who is behind Forget Me Not Crafts …..

 

Well let me introduce myself.  My name is Monique and I am the creative madness behind Forget Me Not Crafts. I have been crafting for most of life thanks to my Mom.  Crafting has been our way of spending quality time together for many years. Even while on holiday you could find us in the local craft shop.

Forget Me Not Crafts started in 2012 when we move from Plumstead, Cape Town to St Helena Bay on the West Coast.  Having moved to a small town I soon realized there was very little to do and started crafting full time. Mom took up her hobby of Crochet and well I have drifted from sewing Teddy Bears to Embroidery with a bit of Jewelry making in between. 

In 2013 after the birth of my son I decided that my crafting needed to become a formal income instead of the hobby I had been treating.  Up until then we had been selling mainly at Craft Markets and Car Boot sales as well as Christmas Markets.   This was when I decided that I needed to start my website and selling on Facebook became a real possibility.  The website has changed over the years as well as the products I sell. Yes most of you will know me for the amazing personalized Christmas decorations I have made.
 

Fast forward to October 2016 when I finally realized one of my dreams and bought my first laser cutter.  Since then the products I make have changed a bit but life continues with all the madness we have come to know and love in the Pink House.  You can still find me on my Facebook page or website as well as at a few selected Christmas Markets.
